(JinkoSolar) today announced that its subsidiary, JinkoSolar, has licensed a portion of its N-Type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) related patents to one of the top ten PV companies in the world for a reasonable license fee, allowing the licensee to use the aforementioned TOPCon patented technology in its TOPCon related products.
As a strong promoter of the industrialization of N-Type TOPCon technology, JinkoSolar has one of the largest portfolios of TOPCon related patents in the world. In addition, JinkoSolar JinkoSolar has invested heavily in research and development and has applied for more than 3,500 patents and been granted more than 2,000 patents to date. These patents cover a wide range of high-efficiency PV cell and module technologies such as PERC, TOPCon, and BC.
A few days ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs answered media questions on the protection of intellectual property rights, saying that at present, China ranks first in the world in terms of the number of global patent applications for solar cells with 126,400 pieces. In the IPRdaily recently released the global solar cell patent ranking (TOP30), there are 10 Chinese companies, accounting for more than 30% of the top 10 JinkoSolar, Aixu, Atlas, LONGi 4 head of Chinese PV companies on the list.
JinkoSolar, as one of the largest patent holders, is able to open up its patents, which is conducive to promoting the PV industry to accelerate the development of technology and deepen the popularization of new technologies.
